So, funny aside, we had a camera snafu on our honeymoon when we were touring Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The second day out, after we'd gotten up early, taken the Tuk Tuk out to Bayon and had only been there 20 or so minutes, Matthew realized he had forgotten to charge the camera. The battery was dead. We couldn't very well tour 1000+ year old ruins without being able to take photos of it, so we had to go back into town and kill about an hour or two while we charged the camera.
This trip was MY turn to screw up the camera. I had removed the memory card to download some photos and - whoopsie - forgot to put it back in the camera. So we made it all the way to GB only to discover we had no memory card. Payback's a *****.
The visit was very nice. We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with Judy's family. On Friday, Rachel/Wade/Willa drove out from Lawrence to visit for the night. And on Saturday Richard and Judy were AWESOME grandparents who babysit, so Matthew and I could go to Hutchinson to see Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Loved it!
The picture above of Richard playing with Ian is, sadly, the only photo I got of Ian's first Thanksgiving, and it was taken the day after. :-(
